The health & safety at work act 1974

The First Aid at Work Regulations 1981 require that employers provide an adequate, sufficient and appropriate first aid provision. Failure to comply breaches The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.

Conformance is experienced in delivering First Aid Training courses to companies and offices in a variety of industries. We offer both the Emergency First Aid at Work course (1 day) and the First Aid at Work course (3 days).

The Emergency First Aid course is ideal for lower risk businesses such as offices. The course duration is one day and consists of both theory and practical sessions.

The course syllabus includes:

• Examination of a Casualty

• First Aid Priorities

• Basic Life Support

• Unconsciousness

• Bleeding, Burns and Scalding

• First Aid Kits

• Regulations and Reporting  

Upon successful completion of the course, delegates are issued with a certificate and a pocket size card that is valid for three years
